Background

 

I am a self-taught Model engineer, with a electronics background, working within the computing industry. I am a qualified AutoCAD user and also experienced computer programmer.

 

After many years of pondering, looking at all the usual sources of CNC milling machine conversion. I decided it was time for me to have a go myself.

 

This website documents my journey and things I have learned on the way.

Finally, I also wish to thank my dear friend Ken Westwood for his patience, who not only has he inspired me to complete this project, but helped and oversee’d with machining and making many of the metal parts in my tiny workshop. The project has taken approximately 2 years working on it a few hours each week.
